Un blog pour Guitar Hero et Rock Band Wii

Considérant que je n'ai pas assez de blogs,
Considérant que sur le présent blog Wii, la moitié des news concernent Guitar Hero,
Considérant que je n'ai pas trouvé de site francophone (ni même étrangophone d'ailleurs) consacré à Guitar Hero et Rock Band sur Wii,
Considérant que la Wii est souvent oubliée au profit de la PS3 et de la XBox360 lorsqu'il est question de ces jeux,

Je décide de créer le blog Guitar Hero & Rock Band Wii, sur lequel je posterai les actualités concernant Guitar Hero (World Tour, Metallica, Smash Hits, et futures déclinaisons de la série) et Rock Band (2, AC/DC, Beatles...) sur la console Wii de Nintendo.

Ma première action sera de recopier mes anciennes news Guitar Hero et Rock Band Wii, publiées sur mon blog Wii ou sur mon blog principal.

Guitar Hero Smash Hits sur Wii en juin

Après Guitar Hero Metallica en mai, Guitar Hero Smash Hits sortira en juin sur PS3, XBox360 et Wii.

GH:SH est une compilation de 48 chansons contenues dans les trois premiers épisodes de la série (Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 80's, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock). Les pistes de chant et batterie (absentes des épisodes précédents) seront ajoutées, ainsi que 8 nouveaux décors.

La tracklist n'a pas été annoncée par Activision, mis à part les 8 titres suivants :
- I Love Rock N Roll / Joan Jett and The Blackhearts
- Nothin’ But a Good Time / Poison
- Them Bones / Alice in Chains
- Killer Queen / Queen
- Killing in the Name / Rage Against the Machine

AC/DC Rock Band: compatibilité avec les instruments Guitar Hero World Tour

Pour celles et ceux qui se demandent si Rock Band AC/DC Live sur Wii est compatible avec les instruments de Guitar Hero World Tour, voici la vraie réponse garantie, après test par moi-même. Il ne s'agit donc pas d'une de ces réponses de forum faites par des gens qui ont entendu dire que, ou qui ont lu quelque part que, ou qui connaissent quelqu'un qui. Ayant lu tout et son contraire à l'époque où j'ai cherché la réponse sur internet, je souhaite faire profiter ceux que ça intéresse de mon expérience.

Voici donc les résultats de mes essais, après avoir acheté Rock Band AC/DC Live et essayé d'y jouer avec la guitare et la batterie de Guitar Hero World Tour.

Guitare : fonctionne parfaitement. La guitare de Guitar Hero World Tour est reconnue, les 5 frettes, le mediator et la barre de vibrato sont parfaitement reconnus. La touche + également. Le lever de manche (pour activer l'équivalent du Star Power) est détecté sans aucun problème. La seule chose qui ne fonctionne pas ce sont les touches de la barre de tapping, ce qui ne pose donc aucun problème pour jouer. Bien entendu, comme dans GH:WT, la basse se joue avec une guitare, donc cela fonctionne aussi très bien.

Batterie : la batterie de Guitar Hero World Tour n'est pas reconnue par Rock Band AC/DC Live. Elle n'est même pas détectée par le jeu.



Je précise que le vendeur de Micromania m'a indiqué que les instruments de GH:WT étaient compatibles avec RB:AC/DC, après avoir appelé le technocentre Micromania devant moi. Conclusion : ne faites confiance à personne sauf à ceux qui ont vraiment testé.

J'ajoute pour conclure que le jeu est bien un standalone : bien qu'il soit indiqué "track pack" dans l'intitulé, il n'y a pas besoin de Rock Band ou Rock Band 2 pour y jouer.

Bruce Springstreen gratuit dans Guitar Hero

Bon, je ne suis pas spécialement fan de Bruce Springsteen, j'aime bien ses 2 ou 3 chansons les plus connues mais sans plus. Ceci étant dit, c'est pas tous les jours qu'un chanteur aussi connu que lui offre des morceaux gratuits dans Guitar Hero World Tour. Du 27 janvier au 4 février 2009, on peut en effet télécharger 2 titres de Bruce Springsteen (un ancien, Born to Run, et un nouveau extrait de son dernier album, My Lucky Day) pour la modique somme de 0 point Wii (soit 0 euro). C'est sympa, si d'autres groupes pouvaient faire pareil ça serait fort aimable de leur part.

Kit de batterie Guitar Hero IV // Kit de batterie Yamaha DTXPlorer

D'après un article publié par Wired, il sera possible d'utiliser n'importe quelle batterie électronique disposant d'une sortie MIDI pour jouer à Guitar Hero World Tour. Ce qui est une excellente nouvelle pour les possesseurs de batterie électronique (comme moi), dans la mesure où une vraie batterie électronique Yamaha ou Roland est plus solide, plus agréable à manipuler et plus proche de la forme et des dimensions d'une vraie batterie que le kit de batterie fourni avec le jeu, qui s'approche plus du jouet.

Le seul problème est que, si j'ai bien compris, la prise entrée MIDI se trouve à l'arrière du kit de batterie fourni avec le jeu. Cela signifie :
- que pour jouer avec sa propre batterie électronique, il faut avoir les deux kits dans la pièce (déjà qu'un kit ça prend de la place dans le salon, alors deux...)
- (plus embêtant) qu'il faut acheter la version du jeu contenant la batterie même si on ne compte pas l'utiliser

Malgré ces deux problèmes, ça reste une bonne nouvelle.

Mais ça serait encore mieux avec la possibilité d'acheter un adapteur qui se brancherait à la sortie de la batterie MIDI et qui ferait l'interface avec la console, avec ou sans fil. Ca permettrait aux gens comme moi qui ont déjà une ou deux guitares de Guitar Hero 3 et une batterie électronique MIDI de n'acheter que le jeu, sans aucun nouvel instrument. Mais est-ce dans l'intérêt d'Activision de vendre moins d'instruments ?

Date de sortie de Guitar Hero World Tour sur Wii

D'après le planning des sorties de l'éditeur Activision qui vient d'être publié, Guitar Hero IV (ou Guitar Hero World Tour) sortira le 7 novembre 2008 sur l'ensemble des plateformes, et donc sur Wii.

[màj 17/10/08 : d'après un vendeur Micromania, le jeu seul sort le 7 novembre, par contre le jeu avec guitare et le pack complet jeu+batterie+guitare+micro sortent le 21 novembre]

Yesterday afternoon, I played “Rock Band” for the Wii in a demo room used by MTV Games (it’s not as easy for us as you’d think — I had to walk five blocks to another building).

Harmonix Community Manager Sean Baptiste was on hand to sing lead vocals for shy journalists. After we rocked out to some tunes (I played guitar on OK Go’s “Here It Goes Again” and Boston’s “Foreplay/Long Time”), I gave Baptiste the third degree (no, we don’t get any details in advance) with a few burning questions I had about the Wii version…

First, I asked why the Wii version is coming out much later than the Xbox 360, PS3 and PS2 versions — was it was an afterthought or did it just need more dev time? “It was human bandwidth,” Baptiste said matter-of-factly. With all the tracks, character customization and things needed to initially get the game out the door, Harmonix “didn’t want it to be a jumble.” He also said that there were different “design choices” that needed to be made for the Wii version.

For instance, Baptiste said the game was “streamlined” in that it doesn’t include character creation so that Wii users can jump right into rockin’ out with pre-made avatars. “The focus of the Wii console is different than the [Xbox 360 and the PS3],” he said. “We wanted the more casual player to get into the game without having to navigate all these menus.”

The only other major differences, besides no downloadable content (tracks will be bundled onto a disc) and five extra songs on the game disc, is the fact that the drum kit will be white. When I asked how gamers could keep the white plastic from getting grimy, Baptiste said, “We hope it gets dirty! It’s proof that your friends actually know how to rock.”

All kidding aside, he thought the Wii drum kit was made of the same material as the other consoles’ kits, and could be easily cleaned. I tried stepping on one of the kit’s feet (without Baptiste looking), but was unable to leave a mark, so we’ll have to see how dirty the kit gets when it’s being played on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday (look out for Baptiste singing in a “Rock Band” band along with other Harmonix exployees).

“Rock Band” on Wii is slated for release on June 22, and the first volume of the track pack hits stores July 15.

Guitar Hero IV : World Tour - Des chansons téléchargeables sur Wii !

Des infos sur le prochain Guitar Hero (si on ne compte pas Guitar Hero: Aerosmith qui sort le mois prochain et qui est plutôt une sorte d'extension de Guitar Hero III), qui s'appellera Guitar Hero World Tour :
- il y aura (enfin) des chansons téléchargeables sur la version Wii (d'ici là il faudrait que Nintendo se décide enfin à sortir un disque dur ou autre solution de stockage externe)
- il y aura bien, comme dans Rock Band, tout un groupe de rock : guitare, basse, batterie et chant
- un mode 8 joueurs en ligne permettra à 2 groupes complets de s'affronter
- il sera possible de créer ses propres morceaux (si on peut vraiment faire ce qu'on veut, ça pourrait être les débuts de Sonotone Impérial dans Guitar Hero)

Conclusion : ça a l'air bien.

Sortie prévue à l'automne (aux Etats-Unis) donc probablement en décembre en Europe si c'est comme avec Guitar Hero III.

Voilà c'est officiel depuis hier, Rock Band sortira sur Wii. Rock Band c'est Guitar Hero mais avec un groupe complet : guitare, basse, batterie et chant. Pour le moment ce n'est disponible qu'aux Etats-Unis, et uniquement sur PS2, PS3 et XBox360.
